The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life. John 6:63 (NKJV)

You have probably heard the phrase, you are what you eat. It is more than a health slogan. It is a spiritual truth. What you feed on becomes part of you. Just as your physical food is absorbed into your body, the same is true for the Word of God and your spirit.

Right now, the world is being shaken. Wars, economic uncertainty, moral confusion. People are desperate for stability, truth, and something to anchor their lives. As believers, we have to ask ourselves. What are we feeding on in these times? Are we taking in anxiety from the news, or are we feeding on life from the Word?

The Word Becomes Part of You

When you take in the Word of God and meditate on it, it moves from your spirit into your mind and even into your body. It becomes part of your very being. Inseparable. Unshakable. Why? Because the Word of God is the life of God.

Jesus explained it plainly in the parable of the sower. Luke 8:11 says, The seed is the word of God. A seed carries life within it. And God's Word carries His very nature. His power, His wisdom, His life. Just like Mary received the word from the angel and conceived Jesus, when we receive and believe God's Word, something divine begins to grow in us too.

The Word That Lives in You

The Bible says in John 1:1 and 14, In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God... And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us. That Word is Jesus, and He now lives in us through the Holy Spirit. As we meditate on the written Word, it does not just stay on paper. It becomes alive in us. It changes how we think, how we feel, and how we live.

Anchored When the World Is Shaken

That is why we are not shaken by what is going on in the world. The news may change, governments may fall, economies may collapse, but the Word of God abides forever (1 Peter 1:23). And because the Word lives in us, we live and endure with divine strength and purpose.

So ask yourself today. What am I feeding my spirit? In these shaken times, more than ever, let us anchor ourselves in the living, powerful Word of God. The only source of life that cannot be shaken.
