And the Lord said to Joshua, "See! I have given Jericho into your hand, its king and the mighty men of valor." Joshua 6:2 (NKJV)
I want to share with you about the power of vision and how essential it is to see the future God has placed in your heart before you ever step into it. But here is the truth. Vision without strategy is just a dream. And many believers today are dreaming big but living small, simply because they lack a God-given plan.
God Gave Joshua the Promise and the Plan
Look at a powerful example from Joshua 6. God spoke directly to Joshua and said, See, I have given Jericho into your hand. Think about that. God declared the victory before a single step was taken or a single weapon raised. That is vision. God was calling Joshua to see the outcome before it happened.
But here is where most people miss it. Joshua did not just sit there waiting for the walls to fall because he had a promise. He moved with strategy. God laid out a divine plan. March around the city once for six days, then seven times on the seventh day, shout, and the walls will fall. It sounded strange. It did not make human sense. But it worked, because divine strategy activates divine vision.
Vision Alone Will Not Get You There
This speaks loudly to us today. Maybe God has shown you a future where you are debt free, in ministry, running a business, writing books, or changing lives. You can see it clearly. But vision alone will not get you there. You need a strategy. Not just a business plan, but a God-inspired plan. Strategy is where prayer meets planning. It is where faith meets follow-through.
Let us be honest. Our world is full of noise and distraction. People are drifting through life hoping things will somehow fall into place. But life does not just happen. It is built on a solid foundation of God-given vision, strategy, and faith. And what you build is either accidental or intentional.
Do You Have a Vision? Do You Have a Strategy?
The Bible says in 1 Corinthians 14:33, For God is not the author of confusion but of peace. So if your life feels chaotic, maybe it is time to ask. Do I have a vision? Do I have a strategy?
You were never meant to just survive. You are called to build something that reflects God's glory. And that requires vision, strategy, and faith working hand in hand
