When we read John 1:1, the word Word in that verse comes from the Greek word Logos. This is not just a simple word. Logos refers to speech, idea, thought, or message. It is like when you say, I sent you a message. You did not just send random words. You sent meaning, intent, and purpose. That is what Logos carries. The substance of the message.

Jesus Christ is God's Logos. He is God's message in person. Everything God thinks, everything He wants to say, every idea, every expression of His will and His heart, it is all wrapped up in Jesus. Jesus is the mind of God made visible. He is not just speaking for God. He is what God has to say.

The World Did Not Recognize Him

John 1:9-11 says, That was the true Light which gives light to every man coming into the world. He was in the world, and the world was made through Him, and the world did not know Him. He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him.

Think about it. God's own message came into the world. Not just in words spoken by prophets like Moses, Isaiah, or Jeremiah, but in human form. And yet the world He made did not recognize Him. His own people did not receive Him.

The Message Became a Man

Then the Bible says, The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth (John 1:14 NIV).

The message became a man. Christ Jesus walked among us as the very expression of everything God had been saying through the ages. From the burning bush with Moses to the visions of Daniel, every divine word now had a voice, a face, a heartbeat.

Before Jesus came in the flesh, there were those who believed the message. Men like Abraham, David, and Daniel. They trusted in the promise of resurrection and eternal life. The prophets caught glimpses of it and spoke boldly, knowing that God's Word never returns void.

And then it happened. The eternal Word stepped into time. The invisible became visible. The message became a man. His name is Jesus, the Living Word.

Glory to His name forever.
